I see internet video exploding as a learning tool...took me a while...and I came across ANOTHER amazing video clip, this one from National Geographic in an interview with Gerald Ford, who was born "Leslie King".
He is speaking of his biological father who was abusive to himself and to his mother...and his chance meeting with him 15 or so years later...

An interesting addition to the picture.
I was most amused by the (I suppose predictable and anticipated) emphasis on Mr Ford's most notorious act: the pardoning of Mr Nixon.
It was the centerpiece of Mr Cheney's eulogy, for instance.
A letter to the local paper the other day predicted the following: Mr Bush will accept Mr Cheney's resignation (for reasons of health or other cause) and appoint Ms Rice to VP, after which he will himself resign (yeah, right. . .). Then, before leaving office, Rice will pardon Bush for any outstanding charges (I guess the assumption is that he would have been impeached ?). All of this is laid at the door of Mr Ford, as having set the precedent of shortcircuiting the full judicial process.
