Nice! I'll suggest this:
Adziogol Lighthouse, by Vladimir G. Schuchov, alternative to Schuchov Tower

http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/Adziogol_Lighthouse.html

Or maybe Ukraine location means it doesn't count? Not clear on your criteria.

Thanks for posting all these photos Natali. Brought some memories back... I'll bet the Ghum store's a bit different from the time I visited back in '91. A bunch of us students spent a couple of nights sleeping in the train worker's hostel (actually, one night of those was spent on the top floor landing of some apartments by the Bolshoi... too much vodka) before flying up and east of the Urals to Sverdlovsk then further by train to a wee Siberian village... ah. Loved it! Would love to return there sometime. My vote's for Moscow University. It's a bombastic big heap and I should really've voted for one of these beautiful wee churches (the ones I saw outside Moscow were fully of sex-ed graffitti courtesy of the local youth) but there's something glorious and Russian about all that towering might, heh. Cool

they're all incredible work...I can't decide, especially since I don't know enough about each project to compare and contrast on all the elements of an architectural masterpiece. By looking at a portion of the form/image I would lean towards the palaces, especially the Kremlin...

Since church of Vasilie Blazeni was mentioned, maybe you can tell me Nataly, whether it's just a legend or a historical fact, I know a story that Ivan Grozni, who actually, financed the construction of the church, after the finishing, commanded an execution of the architect, so he could never repeat such a building.

I agree. It is former Russian territory.
The Adziogol Lighthouse became the prototype for towers in Kobe and Guangzhou:

Wow ! What a collection !

Well, since I am a 20th Century kind of guy, I won't be happy until I can see the red stone Lenin monument
or tomb in Red Square (?). I have yet to see good pictures of it.

I love love love Melnikov's horseshoe garage.

Thanks for all the beautiful photographs. . .
