I am looking for design experience in the form of an internship or research opportunity (paid or unpaid). Preferably based in Colorado. If anyone has any information of places to contact, etc, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check your local AIA office for leads on their job board. Also, you might try other local colleges and universities for leads. Some departments post jobs.
Search online under "Colorado architecture internships"
Search under "Colorado design-build" or ski-lodge design
