i am 21 years of age and i am from the Republic of Maldives. I would like to be an architect, but there is no university here in maldives, and there are no training places here where i could go and learn architecture. I can't afford to go abroad and study for my undergraduate in architecture too!!
But i would love to learn it! is there anyway i could accomplish my goal! could anyone help me out on this matter please!
i do go through magazines and read about architecture and watch out for websites related to architecture. i am really interested in this field. pls if anybody have any suggestions for me , pls do post!

Dear,
You can easily afford to come to India for studies as it is very near & cheap.
I dont see any other way for it as studying architecture needs lots of interaction between students and teachers.
Anyway hope that you will succeed

hi,
when I think about maledives, architecture is the last thing, which comes to my mind, and now, during the end of academic year, thinking of the place like maledives is the only thing, which keeps me going on...
and according to your problem: I know nothing about studying in asia, have no idea how does studying architecture there look, but I recommend you checking out some european community websites, if there are any programms for people from such exotic places. try to find somethin in prague technical university, I know they teach in english, and are also cheap; you can also write an email to my v-ce dean, she is nice, shuold reply you, maybe she's got some experience in solving such problems: dziekstu@arch.pw.edu.pl

hi
u can go for some diploma or short term course in interior designing at least of 3 years..rthen u can do ur private degree from indian institutes of architects, mumbai..all u'll have to do is take examz here in india no classes needed
