I recently added an airport extreme to my system and have had to set up printers using rendevouz. Now the printer set up utility can't find my 120nr. I'm using system 10.3.9
Has anyone had this trouble?
I've gone through all the obvious fixes (re-installed hp drivers, etc.) to no avail.
Thanks,
-Charles

If you're using AppleTalk to "see" the 120nr then you may need to switch to TCP/IP.

And if you have the AE set up as a router then you'll either need to setup static routes to the printer IP address (if the AE even allows this) or set the AE up as a bridge. Or configure your network to allow things on the AE subnet to see the subnet with the 120nr.

Not trying to be rude but how things are setup makes a big difference in what needs to be "fixed".

AppleTalk vs TCP/IP driver to the 120nr?
AE as a wireless bridge or router?
If a router how is your network configured?

I just use a usb cable w/ mine and it sees it fine. Everybody just conncts to the airport and prints as needed (4 different computers). This sam airport serves up our internet too..

You might want to download the lastest driver at hp.com

I've got the 120nr connected to a router, and use the AE as internet and wireless access. The usb port on the AE is used by a laser printer.
Printer set up utility can recognize the 129nr, but I get a "driver not installed" message when I try to add it to the printer list. I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers and run all the possible maintenence apps I can find.
Not sure how to switch between apple talk and tcp-ip printer drivers within rendevouz?
HP support website is, as expected , useless to us Mac users.
Thanks,
-C

There is a printer "fixup" utility around somewhere. Let's see.

Yep. Go to <www.versiontracker.com> and search for:
print fix
You should get back hits on the Printer Setup Repair utility. There's a few different versions depending on which OS you are currently using.

4 Copies of the message?!?!?

Thanks, I'll give it a look.
As you can see (multiple posts) my network/internet is all goofy lately.
