I did read the article - that is why I asked the question.
Tel Aviv is a very young city - less than a Century old, but an unusual, possibly unique one in the way that it was founded, and the hopes that lead to its being created. So your work is very interesting, but when you say that architects are prompted by aggressive political motives, please remember that what most of us hear from Israel is the voice of the Likudniks - and a very great deal of time, trouble and money are expended to make sure that we hear little else.
Your statement that architects are prompted by aggressive political motives would make little sense in Britain or in France - with America, the idea of a Neo-Con-driven architecture could make one nostalgic for the derided Wal-Mart sheds - so do you mean the type of architect that I think that you mean, such as those who design masterplans for cities on other peoples land, or something else ? _________________ Richard Haut has worked with the architectural profession for over 25 years and produces the weekly Richard Haut's Competitions, which has given architects details of many thousands of projects for which they can apply across Britain and Europe. |
