Community Forums to Discuss the Future of City Hall
First forum to be held Thursday, March 23, 6:00 p.m.
The City of Eugene wants to hear what the public thinks about City Hall, and is inviting residents to a series of Community Forums to discuss its future. The process will lead to a decision by the City Council on whether the current City Hall should be remodeled, a new City Hall should be constructed, or a combination of both.
A series of four Community Forums will involve the community in tackling a number of tough issues about the future of our City facilities. The first Community Forum will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 6–8:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1376 Olive Street in Eugene.
Participants will be able to discuss the issues, and talk with project staff from the City and the consultant team. Childcare and refreshments will be provided, with registration required for the childcare program.
To register, or for more information about the project, visit the project web site at http://www.eugenecityhall.com or call the project comment line at 682-5222.
The remaining forums in 2006 are scheduled on May 25, August 24, and November 9, also from 6:30-8 p.m. at the First Methodist Church.
