What is this?
It's a faux balcony below a set of windows. The windows are too high to function as a door, and the balcony has very little surface area and low railings; it is obviously intended to be non-functional.
The house is 1926, with Tudor styling (but perhaps not a pure example of the style). It is made of structural brick, and the element in question appears to be painted cast iron. The "balcony like object" is on the first floor on the front of the house.
What is this thing called? |

No, I'm interested in the balcony thing itself. The windows are standard casement windows that are flush with the exterior wall, rather than protruding from it.
Any other ideas? Anyone? |
