The following are the advantages:

1 Standard Contract Documents are produced with the consensus of
many parties involved in the construction industry.

2 Contractors are more confident to bid on a project that uses a standard
contract document as they are more familiar with it.

3 Standard Contract Documents are flexible and can be easily modified to
accommodate your needs.

4 Standard Contract Documents are regularly revised to accommodate
changes in the construction industry.

5 Standard Contract Documents uses less legal jargon so that they are
more comprehensible to the laypersons.
