Someone plans to change the decorative material for his room. He is going to install half area with raised floor and half area with bamboo flooring for one room. And he wonders if there is any problem with it. In fact, his idea is workable as long as some points are noted.

Surely the area of raised floor(R) will be higher than that of bamboo flooring(B). Some accessories such as reducer or end cap should be used on the transition space to cover the subfloor and the edge of each area to make floor even and offer a beautiful look.

The size of R is fixed. And it is hard to cut R to adjust the size of floor. B can be cut at vertical direction or transversal direction to fix the area. So it will be much better to install R first since its unit size is fixed.
