Someone has installed wood laminate floor in his room. Now he plans to remove part of laminate and install part of his room with some other floor covering materials such as bamboo flooring. And he plans to cut the laminate with some special electric saw himself. There are some points which he should care before the work.

1. It will be better for he to line the laminate with a straight line where he plans to cut.

2. The subfloor is easy to be damaged if the person works in this way. And the subfloor will become uneven after the cut. So he should make the subfloor even as wood laminate floor will expand or “float” across the cut location sometime.

3. Some accessories such as reducer and end cap should be used at the cut place.
