i know there are alot of materials out there that have the ability to contibuting to LEED points..but does it matter when you are doing everything else to achieve those points? I see and ask and the replys usually go like this...well we already got the certification status by what we were looking for...in other words to put in Paperstone wouldnt get us any better than this Toxic formaldehyde mica kitchen
I work with alot of different materials...but it seems most LEED buildings and homes arent even concerned about the Kitchens, baths or reception areas and breakrooms in buildings..
do we think that once we hit the level of desire...we dont need to think LEED beyond whats expected
I go on LEED tours when my local chapter of USGBC hosts one...and I still see the interior of the building hasnt got much attention from the LEED AP and the architect/Designer/Owner....is the plaque that important? or should it be why we choose LEED in the first place? _________________ www.gotgreencountertops.com |
