Hello,
I am new to this forum and I am looking for professional advice. For years I've been dreaming to become an Interior designer, but in my situation I do not know how and where to start. I've been living in United States for 6 years, I moved here with my husband from Hong Kong, thus I do not have any educational background In US. In order to attend a college I have to attend High School or pass a GED test, and it seems like a lot of studding to do when you have to take care of 2 little children.
I know in order to become a professional you have to go to school for 4 years. Is there easier way I was looking at Rhodec Interior Design School. Are schools of this type reliable, how are they accepted in Design world?

Thank you very much for your help.

I know my response may not be the most popular, but it does offer the least financial and time investment. Go online or visit your local Community College system. They often offer Associate degrees (2 years) in interior design. During that time, attend all the ASID meetings in your area to start networking. It will help you get a job as an intern during school or after you finish. Best of luck.

I would like to give you an example here.
My boss is female too,her major was finicial accounting and worked in one big company for 8 years.when she born the baby while having a rest, she studied the architectural designs herself ---- with the education software, CD etc. Of course, it was a long time and hard process. If you belive you can,if you are sure you have the gift, just keep on, you can do it.

now,our company's main service is the renderings and moldlings. If you are interested in this, i wish you can help us to exploring more clients in America and Europe.(UK,Ireland, France,Italy... etc )

Just belive you can! Wish you get sucess soon Smile Smile Smile
