I follow all the update prompts and it goes thru the motions and tells me update is complete but when I relaunch PCadd I'm still on 7.03. Am I missing something as usual?
Ed
(Update) After several tries it finally loaded although in the finder window/applications/PCadd, the date modified still says March 10, 2006.
My next challenge is on my Macintel. After clicking 'update', I get an error message. "!Could not connect to update database." I click Ok and then get " !mysql_real_connect failure."

... and why isn't there a simple updater application to download and manually install?
My Adobe CS3 app's won't auto update, but at least they offer the old fashioned manual update as a back up. _________________ Rob

I was able to update the Macintel today. So here's my highly coveted advice. You can try to update your Mac on a Saturday but may have difficulty. Weekdays are probably better. You can try to update Macintels on Saturdays but Sundays are definitely your best bet. Especially if it's raining outside. _________________ Ed Jaworski

LOL Well, can't argue with success, one way or another. As Bugs Bunny said, "I don't ask questions. I just have fun." _________________ Rob

Ed Jaworski,
Some 'failure's to update' have been identified as inadequate permission to replace a file of write to a folder. However we were trafficking the server heavily late last week. Running console might help you to identify the cause of the problem.
