I have been running through the net looking for a way to install better insulation to a block wall. My client wants block and hardie plank. I was thinking of attaching hardie wrap to the block. Then coming around with 1X2 furring strips about 28" o.c. with some type of insulation board between the strips. them mounting the hardi plank above that. Does anyone have any tips for this idea?

Thanks

You do not have furring strips, SOLID INSULATION IN THE "R" REQUIRED THICNES IN NAILED TO THE BLOCL AND FINISHED WITH YOUR CHOISE OF PLASTER.

THIS SYSTEM ALSOWATER PROOF THE WALL
