Hello,
I posted this on students; got lots of reviews but nobody seems to know the answer; perhaps I used the wrong forum.
I would like to do metric house plans for a typical 3 BR 2 bath residence and dont know what scale to use as I am not familiar with scales.
Thanks,
Hank. |

I am guessing from your name you are based in the USA. House designers in the States still seem to measure their drawings in feet and inches, from what I've seen, which seems very archaic.
Generally for metric drawings I find that 1:50 is a comfortable scale to draw house plans, that will mean 2cm on your drawing will represent 1 metre/meter. |

Um local cheio de animais ferozes e este é somente mais um exemplo. Este tem estado por aquí por algum tempo, com seus ataques ferozes, então não me surprendo que apareceu de novo. O cara é um mala ruim. Alguem por aí ta curtindo a jogada?

I work for an architects practice in the UK and we generally use metric scale of-
1:50 for floorplans
1:50 or 1:100 for elevations (dependant on info shown)
1:200 for site plans
1:1250 for location (ordanance survey) plan
1:5 for details (ie eaves, verge, threshold)
1:10 for other larger details (ie balconies)
1:20 for perimeter sections highlighting wall courses and noting materials etc...
hope this helps. |
