I can't begin to tell you how excited I am with this 'Wiki Liberation!' article and wiki case study. The use of wiki's in architectural practice is an area I am very passionate about, and am glad that you will be bringing this timely advice to your readership!

My partner and I have actually started developing a methodology we call 'Wikitecture,' a 3D wiki that enables multiple contributors to collaborate on a design in an immersive virtual reality environment. Our community has rapidly grown to over 120 members from around the world, and we are currently collaborating on an entry in the Open Architecture Challenge to design a telemedical facility for a village in Nepal.

You can see a demonstration of the 'Wiki-Tree' system we have developed here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z3eWKIJxzyc - and review the current status of our competition entry after only 1 week of work here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=S8zYPLDrVAY . More information about our group, Studio Wikitecture, can be found on our website here: http://www.studiowikitecture.com

Would love to participate in the up and coming case studies. We would be honored even more so, if the community wanted to use the 3d 'wiki-tree' technology to actually harness the 'wisdom of crowd' to collaboratively design a hypothetical project. Perhaps we could even contact Kubala Washatko Architects and/or the Urban Ecology Center about proposing a hypothetical annex project to the new Center or perhaps they already have a program in mind for future expansion that we could play off of. Perhaps the community could, through this exercise, even inform the Center's future plans for expansion.

Would be a fun exercise none the less.

The video gives a quick overview of how the 'wiki-tree' works.

This video illustrates a number of early schematic ideas within the first week of the OAN competition.
