I am a student in an Architectural Design class and we have a project to contact an architect and ask these interview questions. The questions are fairly broad but please answer in the context of whatever area of expertise you have. I appreciate any help you can provide.
Question 1:
What particular style home or building is most in demand today?
Question 2:
What trends does you see happening in architecture? What new methods or materials are being used?
Question 3:
How Important is energy efficiency in new homes or buildings?
Question 4:
How does a person become an architect and why do they choose to be an architect? What is appealing about the profession? What skills should a person have?
Question 5:
How does an architect derive from a client the features that the client want to appear in the home or building?
Question 6:
How do you start and complete your typical design process? What are the steps you like to take?
Question 7:

Thank you for your time! |

well, at the moment according to me all and styles and forms of architecture are on demand, thus it's like saying there is no specific architectural form or style is ruling design field.
Like here in U.A.E where I work there is no particular form, but mixture of designs and stlyes. I see all the architectural styles used from east to west, european, arabic/islamic etc (except african).
at the moment it is a race of high quality and best finishes that determines wheather the particular house will be on demand or not, no matter the architectural form and stlye that it will be designed with.
