| Hey I like this one. Nice video. This carries alot of potential as alternative energy sources become a new concern in our world today. Is such technology new or has it been around for a while now? The way I see it, maybe we could use the actual ocean to produce such laboratories, rather then placing them on the earth. This way, we can sequestrate the oil from the algae directly under-water and avoid the water-loss problem. The only problem is the cross-contamination of the algae species. So a better system of containment must be designed. I think I could give it a working start and such under-sea laboratory could maintain a great potential, particularly if it is placed in areas with calm waters and abundance of algae. Further, larger systems of algae containment can be designed, and we can use more transparent materials to get a higher energy absorption ratio. All this we can do in under-sea bubbles, without the need to occupy above ground land space. We can even create modulated cells of energy production that simply can be lowered into the ocean and suck in the algae and water needed, remove the lipids and pump the bi-product in pipes for the alternate uses proposed. |
