While is has continued to be a struggle, this project is finally progressing nicely. We are ready to break ground and only waiting for the bank to release funds.
This house has received a preliminary HERS index of 40 - prior to adding a renewable energy generating source (i.e. PV, wind).
We are currently investigating LEED certification. As is, the house should qualify for gold. We may even see platinum.
If you are designing houses and you intend to pursue LEED, you should investigate building a SIP modular. The only thing that changes is the walls.
