Hi,iam just searching for information on new types of building materials for a design project regarding an urban centre....the regular materials for such projects are always steel, glass and concrete....am looking for help on other materials apart from this.some innovative use of these as well as new materials. _________________ shankar |

Unfortunately, the materials are often dictated by budget concerns, especially with an "urban center" project, resulting in the use of those materials which you mentioned. It really depends on the practical point of "how much can you spend?" It might be better to think in terms of "How can I use conventional materials to create an original design?" Amazing things can be done with "pour-in-place" concrete, for example, again, if it fits your hypothetical budget constraints... _________________ "To be modern is not a fashion, it is a state.
